To all local residents of the Gorham, Berlin, Milan and Dummer area, and those members of the championship boy's and girl's hockey teams as well as the unified basketball team be aware that this coming Sunday there is a special event to honor those team members. And here it is:
Berlin High School Athletic Director Craig Melanson and Gorham's AD Bill Goodrich have announced that this coming Sunday, May 17, the two of them, along with Championship Coaches Mike Poulin, (boy's hockey), Craig Bartoli, (girl's hockey) and Karen Turgeon (BHS Unified basketball) will be escorted by a school bus and the local police and fire departments, as they deliver state championship T-shirts and lawn signs to all of the state champion's players' homes. The "parade" will begin at noon in Gorham, make their way up Route 16 through Berlin and finish in Milan and Dummer.
