Gorham High School Boys Basketball Coach Jean Desire team was hoping to improve from last year with “more experience and more confidence,” as he said in an interview before the season began, but the team ran into some roadblocks, mainly injuries and sickness.
“It was a very challenging season overall but I will give credit to the guys for sticking it out through adversity and dealing with sickness and injuries,” Desire said. “We started out great and then had a very rough stretch, losing six in a row, as it seemed teams knew and exploited our weaknesses. A win or two could have gotten us into the playoffs, but our 5-13 record was not enough.
