I should be amused by the over-blown and over-dramatized outrage being generated by the seasonal word wars. I am, of course, referring to the "Merry Christmas" versus "holiday greetings" controversy. But I am in fact saddened that we can't even make it through the holiday (or should I say Christmas) season without yet another artificial partisan political wedge issue.
