To the editor:

I am the architect who designed and oversaw the construction of this property in 1986 for Northern Human Services, to be a group home for eight residents. (“WMCC sells 2 buildings on Twitchell Lane,” Berlin Sun, Feb. 8.) At that time, mental health clients had been mostly relegated to large institutions such as those in Concord. Many clients were found to be able to live in a much more intimate homelike environment.
