To the editor:

As a long-time Weeks Medical patient, I am amused by the public-relations campaign North Country Healthcare (NCH) has launched to obscure its own egregious mismanagement. The failure to renew the contract of a trusted long-time primary care physician for hundreds of local residents, myself included — was the first clear sign that something was seriously wrong. NCH then failed to replace her or fill multiple other open primary care positions, leaving hundreds of patients without access to basic medical care.
