To the editor:

On multiple occasions (seemed weekly), myself, Nicole Plourde, school board chair, and Mayor Paul Grenier traveled to the State House in Concord from Berlin. It was the public hearing before the House Education committee, House Finance committee, Senate Education committee, and Senate Finance committee on the budget. We testified. We told the story of the struggles of our children, our schools, and our property tax payers, and why it is time for the State to step up to the plate on education funding. I then followed up.
