To the editor:

I would like to take this opportunity to thank, in writing, the Berlin Police Department for their assistance yesterday. I was driving on my way to work Tuesday, and hit a patch of ice, sliding into a snow-bank and putting the car nearly onto it's side. Within minutes, two Berlin police officers were there, and after making sure I was ok, they helped me right my car, and I was able to get to work (almost) on time.
