Letter to the editor:

The past two weekends I have had the pleasure of attending two events at the Medallion Opera House in Gorham. The band Hot Flannel played March 28 and impressed me with their musical talent. On April 5, ordained Buddhist monk Ajahn David gave a presentation titled "Meditation Practice as the Core of Buddhist Practices" which was both enlightening and relaxing. I feel fortunate to have had the opportunity to experience these events in my own backyard and look forward to attending more.
