The Androscoggin Valley Chamber of Commerce holds its annual dinner, Friday, Feb. 28 at the Town and Country Motor Inn. Always a popular event, this year the guest speaker is Mark Robinson, a motivational speaker, comedian, and magician. Robinson has performed for many Fortune 500 companies, as well as in Las Vegas and on Jimmy Kimmel Live. He has also opened for Jeff Foxworthy on tour. The highlight of the evening is the announcement of the recipient of the chamber's Lifetime Achievement Award – the name of the recipient is not released until the dinner. While the dinner is usually a sell-out, as of Friday tickets were still available. FYI 752-6060.
The Berlin Farmers Market/Local Works WREN is offering an 'Introduction to Weaving' course with Carly Goss of Carlybird Weaves on Tuesdays, starting Feb. 25.
