Tillotson Corporation is appealing its 2008 property assessment of $18.5 million, arguing the value of its complex is closer to $9.9 million.

“We believe the properties are grossly overvalued and bear no resemblance to the real market value,” said Tillotson President Grafton Corbett III, in his appeal to the Coos County commissioners. The commission is schedule to discuss the request for an abatement at its monthly meeting Wednesday.
