A small piece of the Jericho Lake land may still end up in the White Mountain National Forest.

The state is negotiating with property owner Tom Dillon to purchase approximately 7,200 acres for recreational trails especially ATV trails. Dillon will also allow trails on an additional 2,000 acres of land he will retain.
