COOS COUNTY — Most Coos County residents remember where they were on August 19, 1997, when they heard about the shooting in Colebrook that claimed the lives of State Police Troopers Les Lord and Scott Phillips, newspaper editor Dennis Joos and district court judge Vickie Bunnell.

This year marks the 20th anniversary of that horrific event and State Police Troop F is holding a Memorial Run that will start Friday, Aug. 18, at the Colebrook parking lot where Lord and Phillips were killed and will continue overnight to conclude at the Troop F Barracks in Twin Mt. on Aug. 19.
