BERLIN — On Christmas Day, 309 kids around the Androscoggin Valley will wake up to find toys waiting to be opened, toys that would not have been available for them without the work of Toys for Kids’ volunteers and all those in the community who made donations to its toy drive.

Dozens of toys, all unwrapped and arranged by age groups on long, wooden folding tables, were set up in the spacious St. Anne Parish Hall last Friday.
