BERLIN — About 150 people of all ages participated in the Coos County Recovery Walk on Sunday afternoon, organized and hosted by James Cowan Jr., and Where Purpose is Found, the non-profit he founded.
Cowan, a former addict and Berlin native who currently lives in Minnesota, organized the Oct. 19 event. Cowan said he has a special feeling for his hometown and wants to help people who are caught up in addiction.
