GORHAM — The N.H. Food Bank provided 564 households with 1,486 individuals with boxes containing a variety of nonperishable items as well as fresh vegetables, milk, and meat during Saturday’s mobile food pantry.

Nancy Mellitt, director of development for the food bank, said distribution was scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. but actually started at 9:30 a.m. because by then about 200 cars were waiting in line. Mellitt said the distribution continued until 1 p.m. when all who showed up had been served. Food left over was donated to the local food pantries.
