GORHAM — Delighted voters broke out into applause twice during the time that moderator Doug Gralenski guided them through approving the purchase of the 2,005-acre Tinker Brook parcel under Articles 8 and 9 of the 2019 town meeting on Tuesday, March 12.

Select board chairman Mike Waddell praised both the long-term efforts of Nancy Bell of The Conservation Fund, a national nonprofit conservation organization, and the more recent fundraising work of Sally Manikian of Shelburne, also of TCF, who spoke at the podium.
