GORHAM — Gorham Police Chief P.J. Cyr said his department is investigating a complaint that a Gorham High School teacher brought a jackknife into a class and the knife was given to a student to carry as part of a lesson on search and seizure.

Cyr said a concerned parent reported their teenage child was given the knife during class last Wednesday. There were other students in the classroom at the time.
