BERLIN — With plans to hold a sanctioned jumping event at the jump in February 2020, the Friends of Nansen Ski Jump committee is turning its attention to raising money to renovate the historic structure.

State officials have assured the committee that the state supports issuing a special use permit to the Nansen Ski Club that would allow a sanctioned jumping competition on the state-owned jump. But the jump requires over $100,000 in renovations to allow an event there in 2020 and close to $300,000 to do all the renovations needed.
