BERLIN — The city will receive $30,000 for the Berlin Regional Airport as part of the $15.2 million awarded to the state’s airports though the COVID-19 stimulus bill.

U.S. Senator Jeanne Shaheen announced the grant to New Hampshire as part of the Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security Act along with the rest of the state’s Congressional delegation. The release said Shaheen, through her role as a negotiator for the CARES lead the effort to provide funding for airports in the bill. She said the continued operations of the state’s airports are needed to ensure essential workers and supplies are able to reach the state and to keep necessary travel open and available for Granite State businesses and industries.
