BERLIN — The March 2026 Activity Report of the Berlin Police Department shows an increase in calls for service to the department, statistics compiled at the end of April and prepared for the May meeting of the city’s police commission.

Those calls numbered 2,083, according to the department's “March 2026 Activity Report.” Based on Jan. 1 to March 31 of this year, that’s a near 8 percent increase on calls for service over that same time frame in last year: 6,064 service requests to date compared to 5,638 for Jan. 1 to March 31 in 2025.
