BERLIN — All three members of the board of assessors had property abatement applications approved by their fellow board members. That action drew a written complaint from a resident whose application was rejected.

Marc Lauze said his abatement application was denied. In reviewing the board’s minutes, he said he noticed that all three members of the board, as well as the son of one board member, had assessments that were greatly reduced compared to other abatement requests.
