GORHAM — Over four hours, plus an hour to wait in line because attendance was significant, Gorham residents pored over 47 articles at annual town meeting March 11 before approving all articles excepted Article 14, a petitioned article to send out a request for proposals to contract dispatch services, tabled.

The town will have a new selectman. Robert Gargano received 190 votes to incumbent selectman Yves Zornio’s 142. In the other contested race, incumbent Water and Sewer Commissioner Ted Miller retained his seat with 202 votes over challenger John MacEachen’s 100. Paul Robitaille is the moderator, receiving 290 votes. The moderator’s race, along with all remaining races, was uncontested.
