LANCASTER – The chair of the Coos County Commission yesterday issued a blistering response to a recent letter by former Coos Superintendent of Corrections Norman Brown.

Chair Burnham Judd said the letter by Brown sought to “distort, distract, and destroy” and contained “so much false information and lies it was pathetic”. Judd said he felt the letter to the editor, which was published in the "Berlin Daily Sun" and other newspapers, bordered on libel.
