The $1.5 million renovation of the 1.5-mile Randolph Hill Road may be grounded in the actual dimensions of the original road, Randolph residents heard at a public meeting on the road renovation Monday.

In answer to a question, Selectman Ted Wier told the group that his researches in Concord have uncovered in the state archives an amendment approving the layout of Randolph Hill Road in 1825 and the survey, published in 1828.
