On Thanksgiving Day these three businesses will be combining their efforts to help needy families and the elderly members of our communities. They plan to offer a free complete Thanksgiving Dinner with all the trimmings to the community. For the past two years, Steve and Penny Binette, owners of Valley Creak Eatery and Steve Tardiff, of the Berlin IGA Foodliner have worked with the United Way to bring their idea of a community Thanksgiving, “Celebration of Giving” to reality.
Rolanda Duchesne, Executive Director of the local United Way, Steve Tardiff and the Binette’s met recently to work out the details of this unique partnership. Steve and Penny are hoping that other area restaurants and businesses will follow their lead in the future and open their doors to help the community’s needy families. Country Kitchen Bread Company has also agreed to support this event by donating all the rolls for the dinner.
