Martha Louise Plummer Turcotte was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, friend and caregiver whose life was defined by compassion, generosity and an unwavering devotion to others. She gave her time, her strength and her heart freely, leaving behind a legacy of love that will continue through the many lives she touched.
Throughout her life, Martha dedicated herself to caring for people. Helping others was more than a career for her — it was who she was. She worked at Verdun Street Home, where she cared for and supported others. She later worked at Northern Human Services, supporting adults with disabilities. Martha also spent many years at Tri-County CAP, working in two different departments. She began at Step One, a crisis center, and later worked at Friendship House, providing alcohol and other drug services.
