Obituary: Doris A. (Gagnon) Laflamme

Doris A. (Gagnon) Laflamme passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 30, 2019, at Coos County Nursing Home. She was 90 years old.

Born in Berlin, N.H., on June 24, 1929, she was the daughter of Treffle and Exilia (Baillargeon) Gagnon. Doris married Norman R. Laflamme on July 5, 1952, and stayed home to care for their seven children.

Doris enjoyed playing cards, Bingo and going on camping trips.

Besides her parents, she is predeceased by her husband Norman; her daughter Beverly Hodgman; a grandson Derek Hodgman; brothers Roland, Norman, Romeo and Henri; and sisters; Olivette, Pauline, Marie Rose, Marie Blanche and Florence.

She leaves behind her sons: Larry Laflamme and wife Martha of Berlin, Peter Laflamme and wife Tammy of Berlin, Alan Laflamme and wife Audrey of Berlin, Brian Laflamme and wife Annette of Penacook, N.H.; daughters Helen Shackford and husband Joseph of Glen, N.H. and Ann Laflamme and fiance Leo King of Berlin; grandchildren Angela, Emily, Natalie, Ryan, Abbey, Jennifer, Matthew, Alan Jr. and Alysia; great-grandchildren Brynna, Evan, Leah, Tenley, Vaida, McKenzie, Reghan, Marshall, Joseph Jr. and Thomas; son-in-law Scott Hodgman and several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours were held on Sunday, Nov. 3,from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. and on Monday, Nov. 4, from 8:30-9:30 a.m., at Fleury-Patry Funeral Home at 72 High St. in Berlin, NH.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Monday, Nov. 4, at 10 a.m., at St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish. Interment followed at St. Kieran’s Cemetery, Berlin.
