WASHINGTON D.C. — U.S. Sen. Jeanne Shaheen (D-N.H.), a senior member of the Senate Appropriations Committee, announced $1,148,000 in flexible funding for housing assistance for those who are in recovery from substance use disorder.

The funding was secured through Shaheen’s efforts to boost federal appropriations authorized by the Substance Use-Disorder Prevention that Promotes Opioid Recovery and Treatment for Patients and Communities (SUPPORT) Act in the government funding legislation that was signed into law in December.
