GORHAM — At this year’s AVH Auxiliary’s 31st Annual Golf Tournament, held at the Androscoggin Valley Country Club in Gorham, 140 golfers teed off in the four-person scramble. The funds raised will help purchase a Digital Ultrasonic Imaging System for the Ob/Gyn Clinic and Women’s Services/Valley Birthplace, Three Patient Recliners and Accessory Equipment for the AVH Infusion Center, Infant/Pediatric Patient Monitor for the Emergency Department, and Phototherapy System for Women’s Services/Valley Birthplace at Androscoggin Valley Hospital.
The winning foursome was Kevin Fogarty, John R. Morris, Chris Ouellette, and Bob Scheele with a net score of 54.73. Second place was Michael Boyson, Lise King, Rick King, and Gary Roy with a net score of 55.59. Third place was Peter Allain, Brian Dupont, Tyler Martin, and Devin Kelley with a net score of 56.94. Other winners were Andrew McKenna for men’s closest to the pin on hole number 3, and Diane Gorham for women’s closest to the pin on hole number 15. Brian Dupont won longest drive for men on hole number 1, and Noretta Peterson won longest drive for women on hole number 11. All received a gift certificate to the Androscoggin Valley Country Club Pro Shop. The Putting Contest final qualifier was Steve Flynn who missed the 60-foot putt by a few feet. He won a Logitech Ultimate Ears MEGABOOM 3 portable Bluetooth speaker.
