In a sudden and baffling turn of events, all Medicare Advantage beneficiaries in Carroll County have gotten, or will get, notice that their Medicare Advantage Health And Drug Plan is ending on Dec. 31. They must find a new alternative to protect them from the costs not covered by Original Medicare for 2026.

One exception in Carroll County will be a single Medicare Advantage Plan offered for Medicare and Medicaid Dual Eligibles. This plan is not suitable unless you have Medicaid and LIS Extra Help for Drugs. Although you can sign up for this plan, it can be associated with higher costs, and better alternatives are available.
