Parents and children will have an opportunity to come together with other families to enjoy fun activities for children and education for parents. Child care if offered to all children enrolled in the program.
Sponsored by the Family Resource Center, the DARE To BE YOU program has been popular throughout the country. It has been shown to be very successful in providing families with young children resources and information to enhance their children’s self esteem and development. Although the emphasis for the program is on children between the ages of two and five, all children in the family are welcome to come. The parent educator will be Louise Morneau; Gina Belanger Coordinator for Dare to BE YOU will supervise the youth activities leaders. The youth activity leaders are local youth from the Gorham High School FBLA group and have had special training in the Dare To Be You activities training.
