ERROL — SAU 20 Errol Consolidated School students visited the Poore Family Homestead Historic Farm and Museum on Sept. 22.
The Poore family's farm was established in the 1830s. The Poore Family Homestead Historic Farm and Museum was founded in 1979 by J. C. Kenneth Poore, the last descendant of the farm's original owners, and the Poore Family Foundation chair. It was created as a historical and educational site to demonstrate life before electricity.
