JEFFERSON — Students from Groveton High School traded their calculators for golf clubs this fall, applying their classroom knowledge to real-world scenarios during an educational field trip to the Waumbek Golf Course in Jefferson.

The innovative class project combined hands-on research with the practical application of mathematical principles across various golf course operations. This was made possible by the owners, David and Sarah Hill and Forrest and Stacey Hicks.
