BERLIN — Recreation Duane “DJ” Johnson has voluntarily resigned, it was revealed in City Manager Phillip L. Warren Jr’s regular report to the city council Monday night.

Johnson has come under fire by some city residents, including state Rep. Lori Korzen (R-Berlin) for his management of teenage and college employees of the Berlin Rec Center.
