BERLIN — The city’s tax rate could increase by $2.70 per $1,000 property valuation.

The Berlin City Council voted Dec. 15 to suspend its rules to move forward with the tax-rate-setting process in order to amend the city budget with cuts to make up for an unexpected loss in revenue.
