New Hampshire’s preliminary seasonally adjusted unemployment rate for June was 2.5 percent. This was unchanged from the May rate, which remained at 2.5 percent after revision. The June 2023 seasonally adjusted rate was 2.0 percent.
Seasonally adjusted estimates for June 2024 placed the number of employed residents at 750,820, an increase of 1,150 from the previous month and an increase of 7,460 from June 2023. The number of unemployed residents decreased by 280 over the month to 19,120. This was 4,280 more unemployed than in June 2023, primarily due to residents reentering the labor force after a long absence. From May 2024 to June 2024, the total labor force increased by 870 to 769,940. This was an increase of 11,740 New Hampshire residents from June 2023.
