BERLIN — Public schools in the city reopened on Tuesday, one day after an early morning threat called in to some school staff threatening harm resulted in the schools’ closure out of an abundance of caution.

The person who made the threat has not been publicly identified, including on whether the person is a student or not. The person has been spoken to and the situation addressed, as the community learned later on Monday.
