LANCASTER — Local music group Points North will present a free concert on Sunday afternoon, March 29, at 3 p.m. at the Weeks Memorial Library in Lancaster. Points North is a group of four musicians from all corners of the North Country playing a wide variety of traditional dance music. Their repertoire includes Appalachian banjo tunes, New England reels, Irish jigs, Swedish waltzes and much more. Points North has a unique sound with a blend of instruments including hammered dulcimer, guitar, banjo, cittern and mandolin. Points North has used the library for group practice for years, and many tunes have found a home there. Questions can be addressed to the library at (603) 788-3352 or weekslib@myfairpoint.net.
