WOODSTOCK — With the last vestiges of winter gone, Lost River Gorge and Boulder Caves opened for the spring season.

Lost River, which tumbles under and over rocks and boulder caves as it flows downhill from Kinsman Notch, has been an attraction since its discovery in 1852. This year marks the second full season of the new Out of the Gorge expansion, complete with a forest adventure trail, treehouse, birdcage overlook and suspension bridge that spans the upper gorge. New this year are interpretive signs to enhance the Lost River experience and additional black bear carvings by Justin Gordon.
