Experience the thrill of vintage snowmobile racing at the 53rd Lancaster Grand Prix

LANCASTER — The thrill and fun of vintage snowmobile racing will be on full display at the 53rd Lancaster Grand Prix vintage snowmobile race at the Lancaster Fairgrounds in Lancaster, on Saturday, Feb. 4, and Sunday, Feb. 5. Snowmobile racers from New Hampshire and beyond will bring their vintage sleds and compete on the one-third mile ice oval for $12,500 in cash prizes. The general admission is $10 each day, and kids 12 and under get in free.

“Spectators enjoy watching these fantastic vintage sleds race around the ice oval at speeds nearing 100 miles per hour. If you have a vintage snowsled, we invite you to bring it and enter the Grand Prix for the prize money,” says Grand Prix chairman Shane Beattie, a member of the Lancaster Snow Drifters, and organizer of the vintage snowmobiling event. “You can find the race rules on LancasterGrandPrix.com. We expect to have more than 100 racers, and, based on past attendance, more than 3,000 spectators from New England and New York.”
