GORHAM — Consider starting the New Year out on the right (or left) foot by taking part in the Frozen Flamingo 5K race on New Year’s Day in Gorham. Walkers and joggers should flock to 169 Main St., in front of the Edward Fenn Elementary School, between 9:30 and 9:45 a.m. to register. The 5K will start at 10 a.m.

Bright pink flamingos will mark the route. Instead of a fee, new boxes of tissues and disinfectant wipes are being collected for local classrooms. Check Facebook page RunForYou or email RunForYou1@gmail.com for up to date information. Leave hibernation to the bears and join in.
