Lake Region Player of the Week Reid Plummer

Reid Plummer embodies everything about what being a Laker means, Lake Region varsity boys’ basketball head coach Sam Smith says.

“Reid works extremely hard. He loves the game. He loves and celebrates his teammates. He only cares about winning. He will do whatever it takes for his team to win. He is one of the best teammates we have (and that you can ask for as a coach). An example of this is last week, he played eight minutes and scored zero points vs Poland. After the game, I went to check on him to make sure he knew I still believed in him, etc. He looked at me and said, ‘Coach, I’m good…we won, that’s what matters.’ He stayed ready…and in our next game vs Freeport, he scored a game high 17 points and gave us so much energy,” Coach Smith said. “In our game vs Traip last night, he had 15 points. He stays ready, plays hard, listens extremely well, is a great teammate, and only cares about winning. On top of this, he is a great student and has a great GPA.”
