The Bridgton Lions Club will hold a celebration of 100 years of continuous service to the community on Saturday, Aug. 1 outside the Bridgton Community Center following the Farmers’ Market from 1 to 5 p.m.

Over a year ago, the club began to plan for a celebration of the occasion. Typically, on 10-year anniversaries of the club, a gala dinner was held for the club members. This time, the idea was floated that, as a service club, the celebration should be for the community the Bridgton Lions serve and, with the help of many in the community, the club will be celebrated too.
