To The Editor:

The Progressive Democrats seem to think that if they control the levers of power, they will not have to face the long-term consequences. From 1931 to 2021, there have been 45 Congresses spanning 90 years. During that time, the Democrats have held the levers of power 75% of the time in the House; 73% of the time in the Senate; 60% of the time controlling both Houses of Congress; and 53% of the Presidency. So, they have no one to blame for the mess they’ve made, but themselves.
