To The Editor:

Troy Talks the Talk: Troy Jackson’s property tax relief program is a feel good, smoke and mirrors program. Property tax bills may be reduced, but it does not necessarily reduce the total tax burden on taxpayers unless they cut spending. Property tax reductions financed by state income tax, sales tax, meals/lodging taxes, fees, or other statewide taxes — it is really a form of taking from Peter to pay Paul. No net gain for taxpayers.
