To The Editor:

I have been following the negotiations in Washington to rein in spending. I applaud their efforts to evaluate where and how to do so, but I do have concerns about certain critical programs that are under the microscope. One of these is Medicare Advantage, a medical insurance plan that covers 34 million Americans who depend on it for affordable, reliable care. I have had an Advantage plan for nearly 10 years, and I am an enthusiastic advocate for maintaining this option for seniors.
