University of Maine Cooperative Extension 4-H will offer an online club for youth ages 9 to 18 about the basics of farm animal care on Thursdays, 4 to 5:15 p.m., Jan. 22 to Feb. 12, 2026. 

The 4-H Farm Animal Care FUNdamentals workshop series will introduce the basics of caring for livestock. In this workshop, youth will learn how to care for farm animals, what to feed them, how to do regular health checks and more. Participants do not need to have any prior animal experience or currently own livestock. This is a beginner/introductory level program.
