DENMARK — The Denmark Public Library has been having a very good 2026. To begin with, DPL welcomed a new librarian, Jenny Valente, in April. Jenny is well known in the Denmark community and is extremely enthusiastic about bringing new programs to the library. They include the summer reading program for kids, a Chess Club, a new story time with teens from the area reading to the toddlers and little ones who attend. Also new is a Needlepoint Club that meets once a month. Fun and engaging programming will continue to be added in the coming months, so stay tuned!
This year, the Plant and Pie Sale was a great success thanks to many generous donors. DPL had glorious weather and it was very well attended. Mayberry Farm sold the library wonderful plants at low prices. They won the Grower’s Award which was a gift certificate. DPL can’t be more appreciative of their efforts.
