With autumn’s arrival, Mainers and visitors can look forward to brilliant fall colors spreading across the state.

The third 2025 Fall Foliage Report from the Maine Department of Agriculture, Conservation and Forestry (DACF) reports low to moderate color change (30-50 percent) throughout most of Maine with very low to low leaf drop (less than 30 percent). Northern Maine (zones 6 and 7) is showing significant color change (approaching 70 percent) with low leaf drop.
