CONWAY, N.H. — The Majestic Theatre in Conway, N.H. is an early stop on country singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist Pokey LaFarge’s solo tour of New England and the Northeast. This Saturday, Feb. 28, enjoy an evening of music in the tradition of country Americana, as LaFarge seamlessly blends early jazz, blues, ragtime, and country, adding his own modern sensibility.
His distinctive sound was shaped by his wide travels as a young busker, and his deep exploration of classic Americana, influenced by blues legends and the rich musical heritage of his adopted home of St. Louis. LaFarge has gained wide recognition since signing with Jack White’s Third Man Records, a partnership that led to his eponymous 2013 album and extensive touring in the United States and abroad.Â
